About Me

Stefan is a corporate, tax and financial practitioner, proficient in tax implications and structuring of commercial and property transactions.  He specializes in the drafting of complex property agreements, transaction tax implications, planning and advice, subdivisions, finance structures, residential and commercial- developments and sectional titles.

He advises clients on inward investments into South Africa, including tax and exchange control regulations whether in the acquisition of immovable property or setting up corporate entities and attending to the tax consequences upon the disposal of these acquisitions.  As a qualified solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England, he is able to assist International clients seamlessly.

He is also a Sectional Title Law expert and have successfully litigated various matters of which the outcome was encompassed as reportable judgements.  He was also the lead expert witness for the then Cape Law Society in the novel case Proxi-Smart vs the Law Society of South Africa and others.

In addition, he is an experienced deceased estates and fiduciary practitioner and a member of the academic advisory board of FEDISA and a former member of the Property Law Committee of the Cape Law Society and President of the Cape Town Attorneys Association. Stefan regularly chairs meetings nationally and locally with officials of the Deeds Registry, Cape Law Society, SARS, the City of Cape Town and other stakeholders in the property arena.
